scratches in my cladding

Post by jaxed »

Any ideas on how to remove scratches in the lower cladding? I've got a doozy in my left rear fender and I'd like to at least make it look better. I may have to live with it.

Me too! I am considering a combination of Sandpaper + Paint + Bondo!

I have not tried to repair cladding, but I do know that you will need a flexible bumper filler, because bondo will just pop out of the cladding. It needs to flex like the cladding does now, or it will fall off. Check with some place that deals with refinishing products, they should be able to point you in the right direction. Also, the paint needs to have a flex agent in it so it will flex like the cladding, or the paint will crack and flake off also. Mike
Even though I work on Dodges, I don't own one.
