Got a sound (video) clip with the CAI
Picked up a CAI-what a difference in sound!! It def. picks up better too. Don't know about mileage, but it certainly feels "lighter". Need a host for the clip-any volunteers? Should be an AVI file, it's from my minolta digicam....(short, about 11 seconds)

CAI does mean cold air intake. I bought one of these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/97-01-SU ... 8163QQrdZ1
You do have to drill out one of the ports for a sensor to fit, but it's worth the cost. It is simply amazing, the difference in pickup-and sound. All grumbly and stuff. A very cool cheap mod!! I did pick up a yellow spectre filter for it for a Christmas gift for the hubby, but the one that comes with it is fine. Pick up a couple hose connecters because the silicone hoses that come in the kit don't reach, but you can use your old hose and a connecter with the blue ones to make it work.
The file is 2.0mb. I wasn't thinking when I shot it sideways though, lol. I haven't figured out how to flip it yet.

Hey Yellowblaze, for temp. hosting of that file you could put it up on rapidshare. They will keep it for 30 days after the last download if you don't erase the file yourself. It's not perfect but it's a way to let other people download the file from a link that you would post here. I have done the same over at the TSC for a bunch of rally photos (http://rapidshare.com/files/5379486/tal ... b.zip.html) . Start here - http://rapidshare.com/ if you want to share more than one file they have to be put in a folder then zip compressed.

Sorry, been super busy with this: http://www.cafepress.com/photographz
Don't have any pics yet, and no host for the vid yet. I found the info on the CAI over on Nasioc on a tread that hollandpatrick replied to, he did it too.

Yellowblaze, I sent you a PM - not sure if you got it. I can probably host your vid on my site (at least) temporarily until you find a permanent home for it.

Thanks to NJBaja06, here:
My main page ( http://home.comcast.net/~njbaja06/ ) has a link to it.
I also created a separate page and embedded the video on it (so it will play automatically when the page is opened):

Oh, and sorry it's sideways-lol.
