subaru baja front strut install
I took off my front struts to try on a pair of coilovers. i didn't like the ride so i tried to put the struts back on. however i have not been able to get these back on. they are too long.I tried a spring compressor but it gets in the way when i try to install. Any tips on what i am doing wrong would be appreciated

Too long, as in the two lower bolt holes don't line up with the hub? And sounds like you're reinstalling the struts that originally came with the Baja?
If so, you probably have to push the wheel hub down a bit. The sway bar acts as a spring to hold the hub upwards; it's not sitting at the bottom of its travel. Just putting your weight on it should be enough. If you can't get it to line up using just your own body weight to push on the hub (and assuming you weigh more than 40lbs), something's wrong and some photos might help.
