2006 baja possible motor swap

I recently got a 2006 baja turbo with a blown motor for cheap. Body is solid, no rust. I have a 2005 wrecked outback with a EJ253 and wanted to put that good low miles motor in the baja but I've noticed the harness is different and the ECU might not play well going from a EJ255 turbo to a EJ253 NA. Any way to make this work or should I go a different route? My In-law is a mechanic and is helping with the project in his shop. Thanks for any input.

If you're going that far, just do the H6 swap.
