Because it's too good not to share and is the white whale of the Baja world. Somerset Subaru in Somerset MA has just taken in a 2005 Baja Turbo 5 spd in white. It only has 38K original miles. It is absolutely gorgeous (from the pictures I saw). A Baja enthusiast needs to give this a new home. They are asking $15,999 which is below Kelley Blue Book.

I talked to the salesman Walter Lopez to confirm that it is the real deal and he texted me some photos. I'll host those and add those to the thread. His cell number is #774-365-7874.

Yummy! So far away....
Re: 2005 Baja Turbo 5 spd in white with ony 38K miles - in M
I'm wondering if the mileage is low from it sitting around from a hit. That passenger headlamp looks awfully cloudy, back bumper looks to be a different shade, and that driver's seat looks ripped...

Yeah, I noticed the rear bumper color, too, in that photo. The weird thing is in another view of that side it looks fine! Supposedly it has a clean Carfax, but you'd have to see the car in person to get a better idea. Some stuff just doesn't get reported especially if it got rear ended and they went through the other carrier. This dealer sold and serviced it, so you could see the timing on the service history and get a better idea.
What is it with those seats? Why Subaru? Why? Every Turbo I've looked at has had a ripped driver's seat regardless of mileage - many had passenger side tears, too. Mine did, too, on the driver's side and it had low miles when I bought it. Everything else about my car was perfect, but that driver's side seat drives my anal retentive personality crazy! The Achilles heel of the Subaru, I guess. My 98 Outback had terrible seats, too! The foam was all warped and awful. What is it about Subaru seats?
Given the lens flare on that side of the car in most of the pictures, it may even be the sun more than actual fog of the plastic. It looks better in pics where the sun isn't on that corner.
I was going to take the journey to see it tomorrow, but have a family emergency right now that's going to prevent that. May try to get out on Sunday instead. Would be great if someone could get out to see it in person and report back. Hard to judge a car on a bunch of quickly taken cell phone photos. Shame the dealer hasn't posted any decent ones on their page. Love those ads with the 20-30 pictures of every view and under the hood!! You'd think that with a gem like this they'd be wanting to show it off!
