Should I buy it? (Pics)
Im looking at getting a 2006 baja turbo 5 speed.
It has 25k miles and was religiously cared for. It had a hard bed cover. And they want 17k. Is this a good deal? Will it last with little trouble? And how is the gas mileage? I have checked the car fax and it is in really good condition. All maintenance has been done at the Subaru dealership it was purchased at.

They made something like 31,000 Baja's total.
This one has 25 thousand miles?!
It's a slick black turbo that has an engine bay so clean, I'd let you roll a peeled grape around in and still eat it.
If you don't buy it I will somehow mail you a smack in the back of the head LMAO!

The interior pic looks a little dust and I can see some white specs.by the e break possibly from smoking or is it just dust from it being driven 3k miles a year? And if all goes to plan ill have it next Thursday.
Re: Should I buy it? (Pics)
Yes. Buy it. The condition, the mileage, the recordkeeping... all point to yes.
My 5-speed manual LOVES curvy roads in the mountains. I'm convinced I get better mileage there because my Subie likes to play. Keep it in a higher gear between 35-45 mph as you swoop down one hill and gracefully roll up the next - it's a beautiful thing.
Sure, you can find some various 'reasonable' dollar amounts online to make a counter offer, but honestly, if I hadn't paid ~$19k back in '06 for my '03, I'd be happy to pay $17k for that one in your pics.
Don't come back to this thread unless/until you're going to tell us how much you love your new toy.

17k?? That's a lot of coin. Even for one in that condition. I love my Baja, but that's bordering on rape. The dealer be lovin' you long time! Do some research online and you'll have a better idea of pricing...
Peace!

Not trying to sound like a jerk honest, but i think you are the one that should look at pricing....that's a great price on a turbo in that condition
Re: Should I buy it? (Pics)
Yes, it's a lot of coin, but certainly not for a 2006 turbo that has been very well maintained and cared for. I say this because they can and do go for $18k bordering on $19k at least through private sellers [for good or excellent condition]. Even trade in value is $16-16.5k. I don't see any real concerning blemishes. Carpeting is in fantastic condition, same with the seats, for being a used car that's 7 or so years old.sfeather11 wrote:17k?? That's a lot of coin. Re: Should I buy it? (Pics)
I ended up getting it. And love it!!! I wish I could shift a little faster to get a real feel of the turbo. The only things wrong were it needs new tires. And the stupid bug guard messed up the front hood paint under it but it is an easy fix. Now time to decide what tires to get lol. Id like to get something that wont hurt the mpg but will have an aggressive look and smooth ride that can function in snow, light ice and a trail or two. I was thinking the geolanders. Any thoughts?

I like the geolanders just not sure what is available in our sizes.. Both the HTS and the ATS are good tires..
