No AC

Post by mowillie »

A couple weeks ago i replaced my two belts. I know the defrost was working prior to that. Yesterday I turned the ac on just to run it through, and it is not getting cold. The Haynes manual says to check the refrigerant lines at the fire wall. One should be jot and one cold. Neither seem to change temperature. Any thoughts?

Can you visually see the AC compressor clutch cycling on and off ?

Most modern cars run the AC while you have the HVAC switched to Defrost, It's acts as a dehumidifier.

The days of having to run it off season to get the o-rings lubed is long gone.

I was not seeing it cycle off. Bout it would come on. If the blower is onabd I push the AC button, it cones on.

Have you tried filling it with refidegerant? I had a leak in my system. I first ran a leak test on the system with the colored stuff and found the crimp was bad after 7 years. A new hose line crimped on the old harwear was cheaper than the new part. The system works like new or better.
