Can't get new remote to program

Hey guys
Im having some trouble programming my new teardrop style remote. I ordered one a few months back from ebay, couldn't get it to program, dealer tried also and claimed it was a faulty one. I just got last week a brand new one and tried and still can't get it to program.
I am able to get my Baja into the programming mode (1 honk) then I open and close the driver door and try pressing a button on the remote and you should hear 2 honks, but I don't. Am I doing something wrong. I ordered the 3 button teardrop style remote with the trunk button. Could by keyless box under the dash be damaged?

Any ideas on this one? Has anyone been able to program the newer style remotes with their baja? I can't seem to get it to program

I tried on my Baja and running. In my country a problem to find a remote operating at the same frequency.
if there are problems I'll make video how.
