Hey guys,
I am new to the forum. I joined due to a very high interest in Bajas. I'm going to be buying one here in the next couple weeks (buying a house next week, so it has to wait until all that clears). I test drove a 2005 turbo today and absolutely loved it. What sort of gas mileage are you guys getting in both the turbo and non turbo? Is there a particular year that is best? Are there particular issues I should be looking for? I have seen a couple lately that had the turbos burn out on them. I have also been told head gaskets are a big issue. How much should I expect to pay (I'm leaning towards an 03, 04, or 05).
My requirements:
Standard transmission
fairly low mileage
Well maintained
Thanks!
Andrew

Here's a thread on MPG:

Generally, I get 26 city and 30 highway with my 2005 non-turbo, manual.
