Want to drop a turbo in my 03'

hey all, im enjoying my baja, love it and everything bout it, but i need to get more power, insted of going out n looking for a turbo baja, i want to drop one in, has anyone done this? is it just the legacy turbo engine? what else needs replacing in order for this to be functional, or is it a dumb idea and i should just deal or sell n find a Turbo Baja?

i think it would be cool, but the majority of answers when people post questions like this is always " It will be cheaper overall and more efficient to just buy a Turbo Baja" unless u could do all the work yourself and found a reallly cheap wrecked turbo and did the swap.

OMG THE TURBO DIESEL would be soo soo cool, thats a great ideA!, I've dropped many engines into many different kinds of cars, so I'd be doing all the work, which isn't the issue, the new issue is my transmission, my drive train and breaking systems, what r affected, what needs replacing and what can stay the same, Now this dude has got me on the turbo diesel tangent, i wanna do that now more then the WRX legacy/.. damn this site rocks, ALLRIGHT Y'ALL HELP ME OUT, WHAT CAN I KEEP ON MY 03 BAJA, WHAT NEEDS TO BE SWAPPED OUT FOR A TURBO/DIESEL TURBO????

Well I'd think the biggest challenge for the Turbo Diesel would be getting the engine

this is very funny, but because my brother is on the amatuer circut rallying his 94' legacy sti (yea STI, we built it) he's been asking around, found 1 with 150,000 on it, but i once again need to know if the tranny and drivetrain line up, i found out that SMOG in stupid california wouldn't allow me to make my Baja a Diesel, but if my car already was a diesel i could make it a gas engine..... DAMMIT back to square one, I need to find a WRX legacy engine, and I need to know what needs to be swapped, hook it up y'all, im gunna go visit Nasioc, maybe they'll have somethin
