OK.. here is my issue. I have an 05 Baja Turbo manual with a random tech TBE. Driving under partial throttle on level ground or uphill. I feels as if the car will make inconsistant boost. I can hear the turbo start spooling then backing off. Makes it feel and sound like I"m getting on and off the throttle which I'm not. I haven't put a boost gauge on it yet. Only code I have thrown was under full throttle was the one complaining about a waste gate solenoid error. If I'm under little throttle or full throttle the boost is constant. I"m thinking I might need new plugs or something. Any suggestions?? Thanks
Nope that is the only modification. I did have this problem before I swapped out the exhaust. *exhaust swap due to exhaust failure* . I did read that I should go over all my vacuum hoses and see if something is leaking..
Hey all. I thought I would give you an update on the boost issues. It ended up being the brass pill that is in one of the vacuum lines. We swapped out my aging TD04 for a newer TD04 out of a 06 Forester XT. It ended up the orifice on the XT pill was a slightly different size then the orifice on the Baja. I swapped out the vacuum line that it was installed and an POOF no more boost issues.
