window wind deflectors?
Does anyone know where to get window wind deflectors (also called window visors/window vents) for a baja. I know I've seen something for the moonroof but I'd like to find something for the windows.

Re: window wind deflectors?
I tried to find the other thread where i answered this question but couldnt. So since our windows dont have a door frame around them, companies generally dont make those vents, since there is nothing for it to stick to, you wouldnt be able to open the door with the window all the way up, if you know what Im saying. You might be able to find something that would fit, but it might take some finnessing to get it right, and again, i cant see any way that you could make it work nicely without having to roll the windows down to open the door, depending on how far the vent comes down and actually shields.

Re: window wind deflectors?
I have seen some examples of wind deflectors for a subaru before, I know there are at least two different kinds you can get. Ill do some looking and see if I can find some links to put up. Basically they look like normal deflectors they jus sit a little higher so the door can open. I myself would like some just because I am tired of little drops dripping in on me when I have my window down and use my windshield washer.
*edit* Here is what I have found so far, none of them super awsome for us baja users.
JDM rain guards for legacy wagon $199.00
http://www.sojdm.com/store/pc/Subaru-JD ... -21p52.htm
2001-2004 subaru outback vent visor (unknown manufacturer) $47.74
http://www.car-stuff.com/subaruventvisor.htm
2005-2009 legacy wagon $87.48
http://www.mycarworx.com/store/LegacyWa ... Visor.html
granted Im not even sure if an outback rain guard would even work as Im not sure if the back window on a baja is the same, let alone one for a 2005. Any other guys with more experience know anything about that?

Re: window wind deflectors?
i had a 95 impreza lx wagon with a set of dealer ones installed, they didn't hit the window at all and didn't stick out that far. at a stop they were about useless but at speed they kicked butt. you didn't get that stream of water off the windsheild that drips right in the car, it carried that out far enough to get it into the wind and not back into the car. i think i'll check out those links and order a set.
