That seems to be a problem with the design, the legacy 2000-2005 (maybe 2004) that the baja and also outback where based off of, pretty much all legacys, outbacks and bajas have that problem. There is a lot of talk on a bunch of different subaru forums about it, but no-ne has really found a fix. The best you can do is roll up your windows and then close them not to be opened again till you get out, hasn't worked that well for me, or replace the gaskets (as I recall there is a specific gasket for around the mirror, but I dont recall 100%) and it will probably just happen again. So yea, looks like you'll have to do what most of us do and just turn up the radion a bit more.

I have been corrected. Recently just found this thread over on subaru legacy international on how to fix this problem:
http://www.sl-i.net/FORUM/viewtopic.php ... 455c5fe625

did write up on how I did it right here:
http://scoobytruck.com/bb/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1348

super easy to do and it is soooo nice to not have that wistling noise in my ear all the time.

QUESTION FOR YOU GUYS.....do you have the tweeter speakers behind the mirror? I do and I don't seem to have this problem.

I dont have tweeters in mine. I dont know if that effects it or not, heck maybe you just havent rolled your window down enough yet. I have noticed that there is quite a lot of vibration that comes through that little plastic triangle and causes some noise, maybe the additional layers reduces it for you.

I have tweeters on mine and I have that horrible wind noise but only at highway speeds or if it's really windy outside.

I've noticed this myself.

The fix on my Baja is to open the door and push on the weather stripping that goes up the side of the windshield. I'm thinking rolling down the window pulls it away. I haven't noticed any wind noise in awhile.

I will say this. This Baja has the worst wind noise I've ever seen with the sunroof open. Anyone ever try this?

I discovered this by accident one day. While going down the road at 30 mph with the sunroof back, pull down on the wind deflector. You will hear this really low frequency tone. It makes a thumping sound. It only seems to do it around 30 mph. More or less and the noise goes away.
