Remove Gas Cap Line

I'm trying to put a locking gas cap on my baja, but for the life of me I can't unscrew the leash for the old gas cap from the fuel door. Does anybody know any secrets about this mystery?

I solved this problem.. you have to pull the screw out instead of unscrewing it... genius
