SAD DAY --- The Baja wreck #2

Post by Snorkeled »

Well it happened . . . It has been 2 years since my last accident, but late Friday night I was driving home on the back roads, when a deer jump out in front of me and I swerved to miss it going into the other lane but ended up clipping it... The driver side of the car went just far enought into the steep ditch on the other side that I was sucked in and blew through 2 small trees, a crap load of brush, a barb wire fence and into a field... I had enough speed to drive my Baja up and out of the ditch and back home, barely. The cargo rack and snorkel had been cut off by the barb wire and the bumper saved my Baja once again from the impact of the deer and 2 small trees. Also the skid plate saved alot of stuff as well. Tomorrow I will be taking my Baby in to get it fixed. Its so sad seeing my Baby all broken. But its all good, it will survive once again !! HAHAHAHA

I went back later that night to collect my snorkel and cargo rack

I'm really sorry to see that. I hope you get it back together and back on the road soon. Yay for that bumper BTW!

Almost forgot. . . As for the fence, when I went back to collect my parts. I pushed the fence back up in the upright position :D So no damage done except for mowing there brush.

If you want a scoop you could actually get this hood http://www.andysautosport.com/subaru/20 ... 30767.html and then get an STI hood scoop. even though this isn't my baja I still think it is pretty sweet!! [smilie=666.gif]

rebuild it, stronger, better, faster. You have the technology! (ok, showing my age here a little with references to the Bionic Man, lol)

Sorry to hear about your Baja.
Dam deer are always doing that out here as well. Some days it reminds me of frogger, that old video game where you're trying to get across the road without getting squished. Only for me, I'm trying to get to work without smacking into one. Brown furry bastards!!
