I just purchased a 2006 BAJA and on it is a soft cover.
My question is, when I open the cover there is a alum bar that's arced and it's hanging, what is it for and is it supposed to be hanging? I don't see where it would mount to the sides of the bed to where it would put a little mound in the middle t keep the water from puddling up.
Any ideas?
Thank you

Re: Soft cover
The bar attaches to the cover with two plastic clips. Flip the bar so that the bow is up (opens downward). It holds your cover up so that rain doesn't pool on it and stretch it out of shape. Yes, the bow has a tendency to flip over. Nothing much that can be done about that -- unfortunately it's the reality of having the soft cover.

Re: Soft cover
I have a solution to the bow problem. If anyone would like to see the pic's PM me your e-mail address so I can send them to you.

Re: Soft cover
I'm on my second one, but it's 3 years old now and seems to be holding up pretty well as long as I'm careful with the bow.crackhead wrote:Soft covers suck. I went through 2 of them....
