I had a long day of driving today through blizzards, high winds, mountains, and desert plains. A few miles before the fuel stop, the cruise just shut off and wouldn't resume. The light on the button was still on, but it wouldn't engage. At the same time, the ABS light on the dash lit up and the ABS was no longer working (it was snowy enough I could check quickly). Same issue after the fuel stop. Then, I had to make a stop ~50 miles later. Still the same issue.
~250 miles after it happened and after a third stop, the ABS light stayed out and was working again. Didn't check the cruise because by that time the roads were genuinely slick.
I had initially checked fuse 18 in the cab fuse block and it was fine. I also pulled and reseated all the small fuses in the engine bay block and pushed on and looked at all the relays. The stop where it fixed itself I hadn't done anything to it at all.
What gives? Is this something I should spend any time on, or just forget about it? Any ideas?
Cruise quit, ABS light on, auto-fix later??
