The hatch fasteners were simple to get out without breaking and only having to pull three of them, instead of a whole bunch plus some bolts like the Forrester was much nicer.
The oil filter was TINY, that freaked me out for a split second. I don't remember the Forrester filter being that small, but it probably was.
I used a punch to pre-drain the filter, then put a plastic bag over it and spun it off into the bag.
All in all it was dead simple.
And it wouldn't have been messy at ALL, if I hadn't been an idiot and knocked over an open bottle of M1 (right onto one of my motorcycle tires too).
