Fog Light mounting spots?

Post by Dark Pony »

I dont want the sport activity lights kit from Subaru because i dont like the style of lights so i want to get a set myself but i can't figure out where i can mount them without cutting...i can't find any light bars for the baja either, or push gaurds for that matter....could it even be possible to just replace the driving lights that come with the baja (i'd prefer not to)? any help is greatly appreciated.. :D

You could try a lightbar like I have, it's made by Carr. Works OK with smaller lights but there is a bit of fiddleing about to mount it. A few good pics here - http://www.cardomain.com/ride/815444

The blue things - thats a funny story actually, The local Subaru club had a meet at a dealership and they were giving away posters, stickers and stuff. I took one look at the frizbees and said something about light covers. A little while latter they were installed for me.

the website for the lightbars is - http://www.carr.com/store/carrlightwings.asp

To mount the light bar I wound up having to drill 3 holes in the bumper through the foam and back steel beam. A little creative use of threaded rod is needed but its not that bad. The holes for the lights are pre drilled at the ends of the bars.

Well if you have a Yakima Warrior Roof Rack, some simple Hella 500 fog lights can be attached to them. . . here is how mine were mounted.
