Awesome! You've got two vids in there, the dougnuts & the trip down the season use highway (those tracks are from snowmobiles, NOT other 4 wheel vehicles!)

Baja in ice storm

Post by bajabeauty »

K I'm in Texas and we don't get much snow if any but we had an icestorm in Austin and no one can drive in it....everything, school included was closed the next day because of ice....I have a 140 mile commute and all these big texas bubba farmer trucks were stranded on the side of the road while I made it home going 70 the whole way....I did just change my tires to the fuzion H rated tires....they look a little more sporty than the potenza.

Its amazin what the little trucklet will go through. It can't do big offroad stuff, but it sure likes crappy, slippery roads. I never feel nervous about bein out in the stuff up here. We had about a 6 inch snow last nite, and I had to go out in it after work to pick up my nephew that was visitin at his other grandma's house. Although there was a bit of slippin and sliddin here and there, and cars in the ditches and accidents all over, it was not a prob for the Baja. I luv this thing in the winter. Mike

 it's the same way in Norfolk, it never snows for real, and when it does, the whole city shuts down. it's absolutely hilarious. i'm from indiana originally and lived through one of the worst winters in new york in recent history. i've had my fair share of snow (4x2 rear wheel drive trucks suck!) and really love the baja for the prowess she has out there. makes me feel a lot safer driving a subie than the big ol' truck i used to have!

Ah Cliff, since you have been away from the snow too long, you should take a refresher course!! [smilie=grrrrrr.gif] HAHA!! Once you have been through this stuff, crappy roads and crappier drivers, you never forget. Mike

Driving in winter weather

What kind of tires did you all have? Just wondering if it really matters all that much or is it more in the AWD. I'd like to see if our cars devaluate all that much since this is the last year too...
