Hey y'all, looking for some experience/slightly niche knowledge. Recently I discovered that several pieces of the air ducting (idk the proper name) of my '03 Baja are missing. They were missing when I bought it and idk how I didn't notice until now but I've been able to replace most of it from a local junkyard. However, there is one piece that is stumping me. Underneath the elbow piece of ducting right below the air box is a hole much like those for the first two resonance boxes and I can't find a diagram that shows what goes here. Attaching a few photos here.
Anybody have the answer?
Please forgive the dust, I haven't started spring cleaning yet haha!

Looks like you mean this:
https://parts.subaru.com/p/Subaru_2003_ ... AE00C.html
Part you're missing is the long bendy tube on the left side of the photo.

Looks like they had two variations, but AFAIK they should be interchangeable.
2000-2004 Outback uses the same parts.

Amazing! That's definitely it! This is the second time on this forum you've saved me with an obscure diagram. Where do you find them? Clearly I've got a lot to learn about researching this stuff

Just https://parts.subaru.com/
They have exploded parts diagrams for every model, as well as a "What this fits" list that tells you which vehicles that parts was used in.
After selecting your vehicle (click Show More to reveal the Baja), you're given a list of categories. This one was engine and cooling. You'll then be shown a list of diagrams. Scroll through until you find something that looks "right." You might need to check a few to find what you're looking for. Some diagrams might show your part but not include it in the list below; it'll likely be in a different diagram. This is especially true for large parts that have lots of smaller parts inside (transmission, etc.). After selecting a part, you can see which other vehicles use that exact part, then go shopping. There may be other vehicles that use similar (and likely compatible) parts, but this would be the "this is going to work for sure" (as sure as practical) list.
