Aloha Adventure - Saw it on CL and it called my name.......
Hi Subis, short time listener caller, long time lover.
Bought 05 auto turbo t-boned mouse house. I want to save it.
I found a couple doors on nationwide auto salvage parts and will be getting a pallet of body parts.
More to come but parts in Hawaii are hard to come by.
Question. Since its the exact same Baja Year ect. What other parts should I ask for.
I was thinking? And maybe some of these parts or readily available.
If you had a Baja to strip, what are that parts you would get and save.
What parts are Baja specific and kind of valuable.
Shoots

Welcome! I bet having one of these on the islands would be a blast!
I can't help much more to say I've seen various posts saying there is a lot of commonality with Outbacks and Legacies from around the same era. But it's wise to cross-check with parts websites like www.subarupartsdeal.com if there's something in particular you're after.
What I've been doing is weighing the price of a new unit of anything I need against 1. availability and 2. price of a used piece. There are some things that are discontinued from Subaru - of course, why would a manufacturer stockpile specific parts for a vehicle produced for three years - but these parts may not be worth tracking down if you don't absolutely need it or can't envision needing it in the near future.

For the most part (or parts) from the back doors forward is the same as an outback. Differences would be rear glass, cladding (lower body plastics - including front bumper cover)
If you check on ebay motors and type in Subaru Baja, then select used, Or type in "Subaru Baja Tailgate" you usually get a few yards that are parting out a Baja. This is probably your best bet. Dennis
