Just bought an 03 Baja

I guess i just dont have enough projects. I just bought another Baja. Low miles, really really low miles. The only problem is the rear crossmember just in front of the rear bumper is rusty. Anybody have a clue where i can find one? I attached pics so hopefully that helps.

Car-part.com, it's under "engine crade." Pick one from the west coast. Same part as 2000-04 legacy outback.

Hard to tell in your pics if you're talking about the rear bumper support or the body... the support bolts in and should be available from any wrecker. the body... same but you're into cut and weld territory. The rear bodywork is unique to the Bajas unfortunately.

Its not a bolt on part lol. I thought i found the parts the other day but naturally i forgot to save the page. Im picking up the car thurs and will stop in to the dealer and see what they can tell me. Im thnking its the perfect excuse to buy a plasma cutter

Hey Suparu, unrelated to your post, but I'm just curious where you found this one - I'm currently in the market for Baja #1 and I want to make sure I'm checking all sources. Congrats on the new project!

I just keep checking CL when im bored. I do a search within 1000 miles of me. Im always looking for another Subaru project. When everything falls into place i scoop up another. The one i just bought is going to be for my son. Already had the head gaskets and timing belt done. Needs tires and battery. Someone put a power driver seat and the door tweeters are there. I will find a donor car and put heated seats in it.
