We’ve looked for leaks, replaced the sensors and even replaced the cat, but of course my 420 code won’t go away. My step-father is my mechanic and he’s been in business over 30 years. He said I’m either going to have to go to Subaru or figure out a “trick”.

O2 sensors are a standard size, not a lot of options.

Have you followed the troubleshooting flowchart from Subaru in the FSM?
