Hey Baja Community!!
I'm pretty excited that I just bought a 03 Baja. I live in Toronto so I needed a fairly cheap car that I could use all winter.
It's black on silver with non-turbo.
The real kicker here is that the car has 400,000 KM ( 250,000 mi). The car came with the required safety certification and emission testing.
The timing belt and head gasket were done approx 40,000 km ago. The car is currently at a Subaru mechanic with the motor out getting new oil seals and ABS sensor, then it's off to a body shop getting new rocker panels, then off for an alignement. Only thing is I think it might need a new driver side CV, but I'll leave it until it fails.
Interior is in great condition, and the entire car is mostly rust free.
What is everyones thoughts on this purchase? Next steps? Manatory bolt-ons? (its bone stock) Mostly for my fiance' to drive, so no I'm not putting a turbo on it.

Those miles are not too bad for a non-turbo, no reason it won't get another 5-10 years of service on the original motor. My 05 turbo has 237,000 miles and I put on 100 more every day on my commute.

That's really great to hear! So the non-turbo motor is more or less robust than the turbo motor?bobjr94 wrote: Sat Jan 13, 2018 4:38 am Those miles are not too bad for a non-turbo, no reason it won't get another 5-10 years of service on the original motor. it's up to how you treat it. less to break and less stress but weaker parts to match (IE: trans). More that people go "It's got a turbo, must be fast, lets see how fast"AndrewH3636 wrote: Mon Jan 15, 2018 8:41 amThat's really great to hear!
