So, while pulling my hair out trying to figure out suspension details on all the model years, I noticed some things in the 2003 & 2004 sales brochures. Subaru's marketing team reused the 2003 image in the 2004 brochure, but with a few changes. There are 5 major differences in the 2004, can you spot them? (The photos are direct from the brochures and are completely untouched, save for cropping & resizing).
2003
2004
Answers (Highlight to reveal)
1. Door handles & mirror housing have changed color to sport black
2. Missing splash guards
3. Missing sport activity lights
4. Missing undercarriage & trailer hitch
5. Missing boat
*Bonus points if you noticed the 2004 is missing the tan tint present in the 2003 on the car body panels*

Lol,
Nice! I missed the hitch and the boat (was focussing on the car), but did get the others. Even the Bonus silver tint change! I found one mistake though. It seems the pictures do NOT show the 1" taller ride height of the 04 vs the lower 03... Hows THAT for being a Subie-nerd??
Peace! Scott

Yes, they didn't change the ride height in the photo because they just "enhanced" the original!
Here's one you need OCD to see. The geometry on the baja's bed is incorrect: The top left edge of the bed magically disappears between the male model's arm & the board. Also, judging by the light direction on both models compared to the background, they were both photographed on a stage or some controlled location, as was the baja, then were all separately edited into the background photo.

The image if heavily edited in in both cases (car's in a studio, separate near and far landscape, people look like they match the near ground. They just didn't do a great job of it in this case.

Mirrors, mud flaps, roof lights, trailer hitch, rear tow loop, boat, something weird about the models and bed?
