Cobb Acessport or open scorce tuning
So Im a life long subie tech/owner. I just picked up a 04 turbo baja. being the man I am i do want to start tuning this thing from stock and beyond....what do you guys use? I went to the cobb web site, and found nothing for the baja but since the forester xt drive train is so similar would that work??? also any good sites for baja specific mods? Dont burn too bad....thank for your time.

You can swap to an STi ECU and use the Cobb, but it is easier to just get a proper open source tune with your existing ECU.
Re: Cobb Acessport or open scorce tuning
I did an open source. It was a lot cheaper than buying a new ECU and an AP. And I figured if it wasn't going to be supported by them (which I can't blame them) then I should just do it myself.
That was back in the day when the DBW cars were first getting supported by RomRaider. I remember pulling multiple 05 and 06 Baja turbo roms and Emailing them off to smart people who could make definition files for us. It's much easier now that the open source stuff is pretty established.
But if the Accessport was plug and play with the existing ECU, I would have gone that route as it does make things easier and allow for making adjustments on the fly.
