Front Driver Seat

Post by bajaman »

I have a '05 Baja Turbo with Leather seats. Front driver seat has been tearing on the side. Where can I get a replacement? Will Legacy seats fit or Outback - are they interchangeable or does it have to be Baja? If i can't find a new seat, how many of you had it fixed (get new seat material)

I have the same leather seat problem. It's really annoying that it is cracked and especially where it cracked. I would love to replace it as well.

Most get it reupholstered. It's one of the most common defects. Outback seats should fit but won't match. WRX seats are a little taller but more supportive.

O.K. Thanks for the replies. I think Subaru used some crappy materials on these seats. They seem to get brittle & dry out with time and elements like the sun. I've never seen car seats crack like this.

I will look into having it reupholstered before looking at replacing just the seat. I'd have to get a wrecked WRX but who knows if the metal holes line up for seat holes in Baja? And probably kiss goodbye the electric heating of the seat as that harness probably won't be interchangeable.

I don't think the black vinyl material will match exactly with the rest if upholstered, but its only on one side of seat. As long as its black....
