2004 Baja Turbo 2.5L A/T. Almost new Khumo all season tires. Lots of stuff on this topic for Outbacks, but I need help for my Baja ! On black ice, straight line cruising, the rear of the vehicle wanders and occasionally jerks side to side. Very disconcerting. Very erratic; and intermittent. Never experienced this in the last 4 years, but this winter, it's happening and makes driving on slippery Alberta highways a nightmare ! Has been so bad once, it shoved the vehicle into a full-on sideways drift. What causes this, and what the hell can I do to fix it ?? The only thing that has been done to the vehicle lately is when a rear stabilizer bar broke it's mounts and was replaced.

Wild guess, and not sure if it's technically possible, but maybe whatever caused the rear stabilizer bar to break caused something to happen to the rear LSD? I haven't experienced that problem before, so I can't say... sorry. Did you ever get it sorted out?
