Mine next to a stock one
While checking up on the 82 Brat at the paint shop there happened to be a stock Baja that was a turbo, the same color as mine. Interesting side by side comparison.

Acro2, Great post and pic! Many here are envious of your 4" Baja lift setup. Great to see the side-by-side photos. I am sure we would all like to do the same if $$ were no object
Like others here I will only be able to do tire upgrades (not suspension) and I look forward to my Grabber AT2's when the time comes.
Do you do any soft-roading or off-roading with your Baja? Would love to hear how she performs.

Dude that lift is crazy. How did you manage it? was it a kit or something you pieced together.. I just decided that I would lift my 06 turbo.. and I would love that kind of height.. how did you do it? Also what size tire are you running? those things look crazy..

Re: Mine next to a stock one
I have fabbed lifts for Subarus anywhere from 4 to 12 inches ( www.Subarubrat.com ) and the Baja presents no unusual challenge, so this one I just used a mostly off the shelf solution. I contacted Scott (sjrwa@yahoo.com) at SJR lift and asked him for this kit with a few small changes; http://www.sjrlift.com/index.php/catalo ... 000-detail I am sure you can call him and ask him for the version of the kit he sold me. The shift linkage needed some work and the wheel wells needed some trimming and adjustments, and the exhaust re-routed, but all things considered it was a pretty mild install. No need to re-invent the wheel with making my own for a simple project.
In your case with a turbo Baja there would be a few minor differences and I am sure I could advise you on that, do you have a manual or auto? As far as tire size, I am running 29's and the wheel well mods I did I posted that here; viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2230
Something to consider is how much lift you will need to clear a given tire size, that is a sticky point on the Baja as you can't really hog out the wheel wells like you can on a BRAT. The difference between the tire size you can clear at 4 and 6 inches lift is 0.0, so why get the center of gravity up higher for no real gain? I also strongly suggest going with 20mm wheel spacers to get your geometry in line and your handling while lifted with larger tires will remain close to stock although you will see a somewhat more truck like ride due to the CG and tire stiffness changes.
