Over the weekend, Mrs Hocrest called me to let me know that the Baja wouldn't start. I get to where she is, ask her to try to start, it cranks but sounds like a timing belt. Pull off the left cover and it seems about normal, but I'm not going to mess with it out on the road. Thank God for AAA.

Get it home and finish pulling stuff off of the front to find a smooth belt around the crank pulley.

Order a kit and start to source some heads, just in case. The kit comes in today. I put everything together still unsure if I bent valves. I turn the engine a few times by hand, compression seems normal and there are no odd sounds. I get in and turn it over, starts right up and purrs like a kitten. YAY I don't have to pull the heads.

Then as I'm cleaning up I crush my phone with the hood

I have crushed 2 phones so far that way, lay them down while I am working and forget about them, then crunch[ANGRY FACE]
I now have a hunter orange otterbox case.....I see this one a little better

meh.. I've crushed fingers before, pain for a week or so, then mostly good. Much cheaper than a phone at least.
