ECU data

Post by Delasangre4231 »

Hey so I am not sure if you guys know any of this stuff. I just got torque and a buletooth OBD2 adapter for my 2005 Baja Turbo

I got it mostly for a boost gauge which works. I got boost, MPG, speed, tach, coolant temp, intake temp, and a few others working.

What I want is EGT. The EGT 1 and EGT 2 dont display. I notice there is a spot to input custom ECU PIDs and I want to know if anyone has any for the Baja.

I hope I am not telling you something you already know, but the Baja does not have thermocouples to provide EGT data so there is nothing to build a parameter ID for. You would have to install an EGT gauge with probe.

There isn't an EGT sensor? That's odd. Well now I know. My roommates WRX has it. I looked up my car and they have one listed for it. I guess that doesn't mean much. Alright well thanks! I'm pretty happy being able to see boost so far.

You know what I was just looking at alldata and I may be wrong. My STi did not have a factory one and I predicated my answer on that. There is conflicting data on this. Take a look at PO546 and that may be an actual EGT. The absolute way to check is to get under there and see if you have them. You should have a front and rear 02 (one after and one before the cats) and if you see any other sensors in your exhaust track in that area they are likely the EGTs.
