Craigslist has a few but prices aren't so good.

I found mine down in the LA area a few weeks ago, for about $4k less than an equivalent turbo Baja here in SJ. It took me two months to find a good one for a decent price, and fortunately had relatives in the area to do the test drive for me and mailed them the money. It took under $2K to get it into better shape than the local one that's been listed and relisted for around $13K for months.

There's one on CL they're asking $17K for...yikes!

good luck!

I found one in Santa Cruz for $4k a month ago and pounced on it minutes after the ad was listed but couldn't get a hold of them til a few days later when they sold it

Is the one for 17k the turbo one in walnut creek? Cause I test drove one at the dealer that was $17460. Turbo manual and silver. Had it for about a hour. A/c worked off and on. Smelled of oil when you turned off the car, had a hard time starting etc. Not what I expected for that price tag

Damn. the skeeviness of car dealers around here knows no bounds. One CL list a number of months ago advertised a Turbo but it had no turbo hood and featured no engine photos.

yeah that's it - I saw the listing after I bought mine and almost choked . I test drove the $13.9K one . No oil smell, everything worked and it ran real nice but a rather nasty scratch on the rear passenger side door that wasn't pointed out in the photos.. I just couldn't abide by the price jump and denial of said jump.

Now I'm on the hunt for a ARE cap. When I was searching, there were three cars for sale at dealers within 120 miles that had caps that I was planning on trying to make a deal for the cap off of one of them. Now I can't find even an overpriced Baja locally.

Feast or famine I guess. I suspect all the CL searches I did raised some sort of "metric" and automatically translated all those "clicks" as "potential buyers" and raised the prices LOL

I have a 05' Turbo Black on Black 142xxx miles.

It runs just fine but I have received so little interest I am willing to let it go for fixer prices. If you are interested let me know.
