Weird sound after starting up

I get this odd sound which sounds like it is coming from the rear, underneath the back seats or thereabouts. The sound is kind of like a mix between churning fluid and gears rubbing on one another. I have no other way to describe it. Maybe I'll try to record it if it happens this afternoon. I'll try to take better notice, but it seems to only occur when the vehicle is cold. Any ideas? '06 turbo automatic, btw.

My wife and i both have turbos and they both make this noise.....I haven't pt s lot of effort into finding it but it makes me curious.......If you find out please post what it is

Maybe a dying fuel pump or driveshaft/rear diff issues

I was thinking fuel pump, too. But I can't rationalize why I only hear it immediately after start up. In terms of the rear diff, the sound occurs when the car is not in motion. Could the diff make noise when the drive shaft is not spinning?

My 05 Turbo does this as well. Sounds like a deep gurgling that goes for about 5-6 seconds right when its first started. Would definitely lean towards fuel pump/tank related.
