I have a 2005 Baja 5 speed turbo, the forward passenger CV boot blew out. So I stated to replace the CV axle. Now all the research I have done for a Baja said that i would need to remove a roll pin a the cv axle slides out. Now, I removed the axles but there was no roll pin and the diff side did not have a male spline.
So does anyone know what the deal is with this.
Also, i returned the CV axle and order one for a Forester turbo manual.
If anyone knows the correct part any input would be great.

I do not know the part number, but I am guessing it is in here somewhere:

Re: CV Axles??
Last I heard, the NA Bajas use a spring pin to retain the axles. The turbos use a snap ring; allegedly, once the axle's free of the other restraints, it can be simply pulled out, as the snap ring is supposed to disengage from the axle once enough force as been applied.
