I bought a new 2012 WRX Kicker 12 powered Sub and found out the last minute it would not fit behnd the back seat. I kinda thought the 6" powered sub would be too small for any real bass to fill the cab. so I never went that route, however I found a Fusion 1080 powered sub that fit under the pass. seat.
I read that many found it had plenty of bass, but it was far from the truth for ME, I barely get any bass out of the thing mounted under the seat, tuned it for about 30 mins to get the best, but its just sounds like a muffled, to small of a woofer. My door speakers had about the same amount of bass as it does.
Did anyone try other audio setups that worked well??
what subs to use for my Baja?

Re: what subs to use for my Baja?
I recently had the BOSS Bass800 8 inch low profile sub installed under my passenger seat and I love it. (Amp is built in) That thing has a lot of power and range for such a small sub. It also comes with a bass level controller so you can turn up or down your bass levels on the fly. I have mine turned up to about 1/3 power and it sounds amazing.
My Taurus had a single 12 in the back and this little 8 incher rivals it in kick and power. Maybe because the Baja is smaller inside but it sounds very good.

It looks basically identical to the Fusion 1080!

Re: what subs to use for my Baja?
if you're still on the look, I have 2 of the aforementioned BOSS units, i used them in my baja as underseats until i did my real system. they dont do too bad honestly, and more feeling then hearing and obviously with that airspace and size it wont drop bottom but you should be alright. I dont know if your interested in them or not, you can let me know if you want in. other than that, depending on your head unit and door drivers, if you amp your drivers you'll get plenty more usable power which would allow you more volume, and a little more gratitude on the bass side of the EQ as it will be able to push AND pull the driver back before hitting xmax and bottoming out the driver. I dont think I have posted any pics of my current system on this forum yet as im not that active on here, but if you need help let me know

PM sent Dten...as for OP, have you figured out what you're doing with it yet? i also have a sound ordinance underseat unit. about the same size as the stocker although there is definitely more to it
Re: what subs to use for my Baja?
I left the woofer under the passenger seat for now, there is not enough space under there for any thing else. The two bars under the seat hit the Fusion 1080, the woofer grill is now dented and the seat will not move all the way forward.
I am thinking about utilizing one of the rear foot well for the Subaru 10" woofer, as I need the space available behind the rear seats.

well..do what you gotta do. I was also rocking 2 10 inch truck boxes for a while and they were behind the front seats. I just didnt use my baja if I was going to have more than 2 people. sounded great though, and it assured me that doing 2 10s would be plenty enough in long run. you don't need to use the baja specific if you're going that route though. you could probably save yourself some money if you just go on amazon and look at some all in ones
