The N/A s don't tune so easily. I know that for the 03 and I believe for the 04 the ECU cannot be tuned.

The NA's don't tune well because of two main reasons, for one there just isn't a lot of power you can get out of the NA motors without doing major engine work, bolt on's just don't do much, so you don't get that drive from the community to find tuning solutions.

The second reason is that there just isn't as much to adjust, especially for the pre 05 ones that don't have the active valve control. In the turbo's you have a lot more parameters to play with and there's different ways to tune to extract power (two main schools of thought are either lower boost with closer to stoich mixture or high boost with rich mixtures)

For NA at full throttle you just experience zero vacuum on the intake(relative to atmo) so you would just have to tune it to get a proper a/f ratio.

Tuning options do exist for the NA's, they're just not as popular as the turbo tuning options. I remember looking at the rallitek pp6 piggy back when I was NA and it was around $600 for the unit and you wired it in yourself, it wasn't without issues, and there wasn't much in terms of gains without playing with cams and building the motor for more compression. I ended up going all out and going the turbo route.
