wipers not finishing cycle

Hey everybody! Hope holidays were all good.
2006 Baja Sport. Wipers will not finish cycle when turned off. They stop where they are when I turn them off. Nothing is loose and everything else about the wipers works fine. In intermittent mode, they will sometimes wipe twice before pause, but they do return to the bottom between wipes during intermittent mode. Any advice?

Mine did that. I bought a new wiper switch (basically the stick that sticks into the steering column and it fixed the problem. the 00-04 legacy and outback fit. some have intermittent, some don't. they range from $25-45 on ebay.
