Baja Tailgate De-badging

Post by ags0702 »

Has anyone removed the badges on the tailgate? I was thinking about doing this but I would really like to see a picture if there is one floating around on the forum.

Sacrilege!

'Cause, you know... if you take the badges off... nobody will know it's a Subaru Baja.

Previous owner had scraped something on 2 of the subaru letters and part of the tailgate so it looks a bit rough. I read that two of the letters have pins into the tailgate and I am sure that would look bad exposed.

You heard correctly. Mine was missing the entire Subaru badge across the top when I bought it. There are 2 indentations with holes for the badge alignment pins. I think they were behind the letters U and R. The holes worked well when I installed the new badge, but they stand out quite a bit when the badge isn't there... Peace!

See STI2NR's delete. He recently posted in baja pics.

I think I'm just nervous about taking them off...I can't get myself to do it!
