radio speakers?

radio speakers?
Suddenly, the rear speakers just stopped working. Shortly thereafter, the front left speaker started to crackle, then it died too. Now i only have the front right speaker. Is it my speakers or my stereo system? I would need to learn how to take the door panel or the console off to test...any idea how or where i should begin? Again, thanks in advance for your advice...
Re: radio speakers?
The speakers go bad in the baja's. All that is needed is to replace them. Almost guaranteed the wiring will be fine. There are diy's on here regarding how to pop the door panels off.
Re: radio speakers?
My Baja came with two dead front speakers.
I replaced them after checking the wiring for voltage and a ground, The speakers had both died.
Replacing them fixed me up.
Don't make the easy mistake I did and run the speaker wire the wrong way LOL, I had mine pinched because I ran it under the bracket and not thru the point they molded.

Re: radio speakers?
Same here with my 2004 legacy. Only the driver worked, then one day the rear passenger started working. Replace the fronts and moved the drivers front to drivers rear. I made an adapter wire with male1/4 "(6.35 mm) spades and female 3/16" and1/8" spade. The front oe speakers replaced with pioneer cheapos. Drop in, and moved the wire over to the spade connects.
