Our new exhaust system

Post by split196 »

Well the new Cat back system is dropped off at the exhaust fabricators for our operation next Monday November 4th. We ordered a SRS Catback system. he is doing the whole system in stainless steel with mandril corners......gonna cost us a pretty penny but totally worth it.....here is a video of the same system we have but fitted to a WRX.

UPDATES WILL BE COMING.....AND A FULL BEFORE AND AFTER VIDEO !

yeah hopefully it should be good, we heard this system is very good for the money and the part we like is that it can be silenced some what (in the Michigan winters it can take 15 mins to get 'deiced' and as i leave for work at 430 am i thought i better keep on my neighbors good side) but obviously i ran into the issue of no Baja parts made in this style so we got the WRX model and found a very good guy about 40 north of here that will make it for me.

As i said a video will follow

well maybe one day we'll have to set up a MI Baja Meet. I am in Wayne County also and i think someone on here is from Troy. There is a greatly modded Baja around here. we cruised on the dream cruise and drew up along side him, he had gone the whole hog....Wastegate the lot....but we never got to pull over and chat.

If you ever need a system fitted i will send you to this guy i am using in Waterford Oakland County

Sounds good! That place is only a few miles from my house, I relocated to Waterford and never updated my profile. There seem to be more Bajas in MI these days!

Thanks guys, yeah i love the sound myself. The video doesn't do it justice really its actually deeper and louder than the video makes it seem. If i didn't have the silencer that's removable it probably would be too loud for me for everyday use. it BOOMS down our street even on low rev's but its great. total cost for us was about $580 all in, that's buying the system on Amazon and having it shipped and him....basically using just the resonator and rear muffler and remaking the whole system from scratch with stainless 3" and all mandril bends so no creasing at all.He is a friend of a VERY good friend of mine so also if you need a VERY good and TRUSTWORTHY mechanic in Waterford i will give you his details.

How much for Labor only on an Engine swap ?

I do not have the space for a Cherry picker or the experience mounting a 5MT to the block to do it myself.
