A - is there an aftermarket for performance suspension/engine upgrades. I can not get a handle on what parts from the imprezza or legacy based vehicles fit the baja or not. I have seen king springs and things from get-primitive.com for subies but nothing specifically saying the baja, again will any of that transfer over?
B - can i fit a rooftop tent on the baja? I ask because I would likely be using it to tow bikes to dual sport events and would like to not sleep on the ground in a tent. something like the autohome maggiolina or somesuch?
C - will a hitch fit, is there one available? I need to be able to pull 2 dirt bikes at times
D - would you say this is a comfortable vehicle to take 3-5 hours trips in? I believe the interior looks decent though not as nice as the 05-06 outbacks yes?
E - is there anything strange or different about the turbo engine that would make it difficult to find compatible parts?
F - is the bed and midgate useful? I am sort of weighing that for transporting 2x4 cuts occasionally. and against having the cargo area of the outback/forester which might be more useful for me as a dog owner unless the pups would be fine in the backseat of the baja (backseat folds down doesnt it?) This is a big one. I have two dogs. A husky shepherd mix (Inga) and a blue heeler border collie (Cosmos) and I love them dearly and bring them with me whenever possible. Including to the dual sport events I tow my motorcycles to.
