Just noticed that I have a broken fog light, looks like someone fired a .22 through the center of the glass lens, and I am assuming it was a rock over the winter sometime. There is some discoloration inside, looks like dried muddy water, so it must have been like this for awhile. I don't use these lights, obviously.
Has anyone taken one out/apart before? I unscrewed the useless plastic "rock guard" but didn't go any further yet. There appear to be 1 or 2 screws holding it in place.
I had assumed it was a 1 piece unit like a Hella or similar, but after calling local dealership they said it is a 3 piece unit that costs over $300 to replace!!! WTH? The guy was rather clueless, so am wondering if he got it right....
Any suggestions?? Is it safe to just leave it as-is for now, until I get it replaced, or is there some safety issue with the electrical that I need to address in order to leave it be?
Can't believe it's that expensive an issue...all comments greatly appreciated.

Re: Fog Light Assembly question
Amazon has replacements that work as well for about $100 for the set
Re: Fog Light Assembly question
Can you give me the Amazon link? I found some posted there for about $45 per pair that the reviews say fit OK....just wondering if that's true!Nitro350Z wrote:Amazon has replacements that work as well for about $100 for the set
