How quickly they go
Its always sad to know that whatever bajas die. Without more being made what's gone is gone. Bad of me, I shouldn't have looked. Make friends with a used car dealer and one of these can be yours for $3,000-$6,000 depending on the condition.

Interestingly, one of them is an RGP non-turbo like mine...I have never seen another like mine before. Sad, sad sight.

Man, If I had any money right now I could buy one with.
The spare parts that are no longer made.. The tail gate for one.

Re: How quickly they go
Yeah, I could use a parts car...as long as the same part doesn't go out twice it should (with effort) make the car last another few years. Interestingly, I got mine (clear title) for less than some of these totaled ones go for.

Nice Baja. I always liked the Atlantic Blue.

Re: How quickly they go
Great repairs! did you do it yourself or get it done somewhere? how much did you spend total?split196 wrote:This is it now
Re: How quickly they go
The repairs where done before we got it by the showroom that sold it to us, we paid $9000 for the car 73 000 miles. we are looking to Mod it. our first thing is a COBB Access port to remap the engine, the problem is they don't list the Baja as a model so which engine is the Baja Turbo most like? Forester ? legacy ? WRX ?
Does anyone know?

Re: How quickly they go
the engine is the same as the Forester XT, however Cobb does not support the Baja ECU which is why people either swap out ECUs and use an accessport or go opensource with a tactrix cable and romraider.
Re: How quickly they go
i have to be honest although you told me that I carried on looking and found out that the new model does. the old V2 doesn't but this V3 does

Re: How quickly they go
That's awesome. I still don't see the Baja listed as a supported vehicle on Cobb's site though. When you get it, let us know if it works!

Re: How quickly they go
Please tell me more !!! After this post i contacted the company i listed that said it fitted the Baja and they contacted COBB to confirm this and its was true it didnt fit the baja according to COBB. please elaborate on what you did, was it just fitted on a chance it worked ? or did you have something else done to make it work like switching the ECU.
