New Baja Turbo Owner!~~... Have an engine "miss"...

Hey guys!... Found you guys doing a forum search,... Just bought a 2004 Baja Turbo Automatic.... It has a brand new turbo on it and runs pretty smooth.... it has 155,000 miles and has a slight engine tick when cold and goes away about 80% when warmed up... I read this is pretty normal... however, the engine sort of misses a little around 2000-3000 rpm's under part throttle.... sort of surging.... not a hardcore bucking... if you go 1/2 throttle or more, its gone!..... Also, I feel that it it doesn't have the the power that I would expect from a turbo'd Subaru..... Any ideas of where to start???... I have NO CEL's or anything....
