Heater/Air Conditioner blower fan motor.

Post by davenett1 »

My fan on my 2006 Baja just quit working yesterday, I checked all the fuses and they looked ok. Any advice for the problem and what should I check. I talked to the dealer and he mentioned the blower fan had probably burnt out. Any other items I should check, also, how can I check to find out if that model has a air conditioner filter? Any help is appreciated.
thanks

The only way to know for sure if that model had a filter would be to simply check it. You do have to take the glove box out, but it's not too hard. Look under the "scoobytruck.com" header at the top of the page, in the "baja library" section. There should be official subaru instructions on how to change the filter. If your car does have the filter and you've never known, it probably needs changing. If it does not have the filter, it would be a good time to add one??
