Mud Flaps / Gravel Guards (feeler)

Post by Skemcin »

Hi all,

I wanted to get an idea if this community is also looking for mud flaps / gravel guards. We have a design that fits all 05-09 Legacy's so I am wondering if anyone would like buy a set to confirm the fit on the Baja?

Here is what it looks like on an Impreza:

We list these at $89 - plus tax and shipping

Let me know if you have any questions.

I'll give them a shot. Add them to my bar order. Hopefully you'll get this before you've shipped the bar so I can save on the shipping [smilie=666.gif]

I'll get a price figured out for you that includes shipping. Given how everything is going, Ill get these shipped separately.

I'll be in touch today or tomorrow.

Thanks to RoverLander for purchasing a set of our Legacy mud flaps. They arrived at his house yesterday morning so lets all send him a PM asking when he plans on installing them.

I'm kidding, don't spam him - but I am eager to find out how the install goes. I'll be sure to let you all know what he reports (if he doesn't happen to post it here). And I'll let you know when a batch can be ready for purchase.

Thanks!

Damn way to set me up... You got me twice. I was out searching in front of the house in barefeet & underware at 6a.m. when it was foggy and just above freezing. Sadly I didn't find the package :?: Pm me the tracking number if you have one. If it was sent through the postal service it will be held at the post office.

Excited, [smilie=666.gif]

Got 'em. Unfortunately they are not a direct fit & will require a bit of a redisign and more material. Conviently I also own a 2003 Outback Limited Sedan with which to compare and that they almost fit on so I have a better idea of your thinking. I'll make you some rubber matting templates and send it all back to you. I'll do a set for the sedan as well. Try and have it to you by the weekend.

## UPDATE ##

Had a great talk with RoverLander last night and we will need to make some modifications to the flap design to get it flush for the Baja. We will be working together over the course of the next couple week to refine the fitment so we can get a product ready for production.

big thanks to RoverLander for the help and I look forward to updating the community on the progress.

Meanwhile, we need your help. A little photo homework. We need to find out if there are any differences in the way Subaru assembled the fender molding. So, we're asking that a person from each year and engine type (trim) post a picture of the mounting location for the front and rear of their truck - we only need one person to post per year/engine(trim).
[make sense]

Here is the list:
2003 Sport = [open / no pics yet]
2004 Sport = [open / no pics yet]
2004 Turbo = [open / no pics yet]
2005 Sport = [open / no pics yet]
2005 Turbo = [open / no pics yet]
2006 Sport = [open / no pics yet]
2006 Turbo = [open / no pics yet]

Let me know if I need to change something - I basically hope to get a picture of the wheel well with the wheel off - basically from this distance and angle:

Thanks

We are still working on getting this fit. Hopefully shouldn't be much longer. In the mean time:

These are the Impreza models we have confirmation on fitment:
'08-'12 - STI
'02-'07 - OBS, WRX, STI
'93-'01 - GC8

We are making a subtle revision to what is pictured - consists of two changes. First, the lettering will be a semi-gloss black - to make the name blend in a little more. Second, the name will be in the proper font.

These are available now, you can PM the e-mail address you use in paypal, go to our website and submit your purchase order (from which I will send a paypal invoice), or simply e-mail me at getdirty[at]gorillaoffroadcompany.com.

These are also available for some Forester and Legacy models.

No worries at all I'm doing the same exercise with another Baja owner I tracked down (not from here from what I can tell - will have to ask). So if both of you send stuff in it will just confirm findings. Have you been able to hold them up or install them on your Outback?
