So I decided to change the transmission fluid on my 03 Baja that I recently aquired. It has 155000 miles on it, and there was documentation it was dealer maintained until about 100000 miles. I changed the front differential, rear differential, and auto tranny fluid. After the change it is lurching and acting slow. I used Valvoline synthetics in the front and rear that meet the specs. I used Valvoline for the automatic. Its the recommended dex spec fluid.
Any ideas?
I know that there were some late 90s legacy automatics that had lurching slow shifting issues, but have not heard that about the Baja s.

I had some issues with sputtering, and not shifting correctly in my '03 that I just got, but it threw a code, and it was actually a misfire on cyl #2. I replaced all plugs, and put on new wires, and it runs/shifts great now. this was mostly seen in lockup mode...

Turns out I was low on tyranny fluid. Doing a simple drain I got eight quarts out. Lesson learned, always measure the amount of fluid that comes out and triple check the dip stick.
