Hello!
First, I love the hell out of my 05 Baja Sport.
But I want to start upgrading my baby.
So I am looking at this Xcceleration site and their products sound interesting and reassure my worry of it not fitting or require a full shop to put on. (I’m military and currently live in a barracks with a pretty good tool kit). i love working on my car but dont want to get into something that'll hurt it.
Has anyone used any of their products on their Baja's?
Projects:
-Skid Plate
-front light bar
-upgrade my exhaust
-Sport lights
-Rally Armor mudflaps

Their parts are of good quality (a little pricey though) I personally have the cat back exhaust on my 05 Sport, and it has held up well. There are other venders that make the skid plates, and there is a post on this site with a vender who is making a prototype light bar

Agreed on the prices!
I was really looking into the cat back exhaust from them . Did you notice any improvements?

The exhaust from Xcceleration is quite nice. i have one on my 05 Turbo.
As for a skid plate I recommend Primitive Motorsports.

Mud Flaps you can make your own for quite cheap. I made mine out of flaps I got from Fleet Pride.

Sad to say, the N/A s will never be power houses without some serious $$ The sound of the exhaust is nice, and I am sure it adds a little performance, But if your looking for a "sport truck" sound, you should be happy, it has a nice rumble when firing it up & really barks when you get on it. In my case I've spent my $$ on making it more truck-like (lift kit, slightly taller tires, exhaust and headers) The light bar/skid plate mentioned on this site looks very tempting. Although that too will be a bit pricy with shipping to Maine

Re: Xcceleration products
sorry if this is off topic from the Xcceleration products, but what did you do in terms of a lift? I have been interested in doing this for a while, but haven't been able to find much info on it.Buck Rogers wrote:typiper wrote:Agreed on the prices!

I used the Scorpion 70mm body lift. I bought it used, but never installed from a fellow NASIOC member in 07, the lift is actually designed for a (99ROB Outback) it fit quite well with only slight modifications needed for two of the rear lift blocks (re-drilled the holes) I had about 28K on the truck when the lift was installed, I have 115k now. I do not believe that these kits are still being made, so your only option that I know of is this (http://www.subtle-solutions.com/product ... 25)....Not bad for the money, I am actually thinking of adding these spacers under the current ones that I have. This would give the body a total of 3.75" of height (including the taller tires that I already have) I have to replace my struts soon, so this might be a good summer project
