2005 Baja convertion to non-turbo
question folks, how to convert my 2005 Baja into a non-turbo. They don't seem to last and last one is already locked (no spooling), so I think removing it and replacing with just straight pipes. Have anybody done it and hwo difficult is it? Where to source exhaust-intake pipes that will bolt on directly without much modifications? Any info will be highly appreciated

My suggestion is to swap engines or entire trucks if you really don't want to run a turbo any more. Removing the turbo and converting the exhaust won't come close to leaving you with a usable vehicle. The ECU expects to see boost, will be trying to control it, is mapped for boost in terms of fuel and spark, etc. I don't see a non-turbo ECU working, either, because compression is significantly different, so power output between a N/A and a turbo w/o the turbo there is a lot different, so even the N/A-mapped ECU would be 'confused.'
The compression ratio is pretty low in the turbo engines, to help them not grenade under boost. Pulling the turbo (even if you re-programmed the ECU specifically to be non-turbo) would leave you with a DOG-SLOW (no power) engine.
So, that's why I'd suggest swapping engines or trucks if you don't like having a turbo engine. Understand, though, that the N/A engines lose head gaskets. Count on it by 100k miles, usually before. Try to get an engine with the later version of the HG (which maybe the Baja engines already had? I'm not sure), so that the HG leak will only be external rather than internal, too. Internal HG leaks put coolant into the oil, which grinds up the entire engine inside.
As an aside, it seems probably that something else is wrong in your engine, if you've destroyed 2 turbos already. They're actually quite durable engines and turbos, unless they're starved of oil or otherwise physically damaged.

Re: 2005 Baja convertion to non-turbo
point(s) taken, thank you. It gets worse though. I am away from home - two ferry rides and some 200km. Turbo is kaput, but vehicle was still running. So I tried to disconnect the blower, so it get out of the way and at least get some airflow going to get home. But for some reason engine wouldn't run anymore. Starts and quits after a second or two. Any way I can make engine run? What did I do wrong. The other thing, I disconnected oil supply and plugged it off, and cooling water pipes ass well. Reasoning was that when last time turbo broke, it blew helluva lot of smoke and I couldn't drive anymore. Now I am kinda panicing, how do I get engine running again, dog slow whatever, I am the Island. There is no service, not even tow ttruck unless I cover ferry rides.
